In 2021, I had the privilege of leading and documenting the implementation of the world’s largest measles-rubella mass vaccination campaign in Faisalabad, Pakistan. Working in collaboration with UNICEF, WHO, Gavi, and the Government of Pakistan, I helped coordinate planning, advocacy, training, and on-ground execution that reached millions of children across Faisalabad Division.
From designing communication and social mobilization strategies to supervising training workshops and validating field activities, my role focused on ensuring that the campaign not only achieved its ambitious coverage targets but also strengthened long-term immunization systems. This report reflects both the scale of the effort and the dedication of thousands of health professionals who joined hands to protect children from measles, rubella, and polio , a mission I was proud to contribute to directly.

This report presents my hospital attachment experience across leading healthcare institutions in Lahore, including Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Jinnah Hospital, Punjab Institute of Cardiology, and the Infectious Diseases Hospital.
A major focus of this attachment was my time at Shaukat Khanum, where I explored advanced Radiation Oncology services such as IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, and brachytherapy, alongside integrated medical and surgical oncology care. I also gained insight into the hospital’s Research Wing, which conducts cutting-edge studies in cancer genetics, epigenetics, proteomics, and clinical trials, contributing to the development of precision medicine and new therapeutic strategies.
In addition, the rotations at Jinnah Hospital strengthened my understanding of general and specialized care, emergency services, and hospital administration. My time at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology enhanced my knowledge of cardiology, critical care, and surgical interventions, while the Infectious Diseases Hospital provided valuable exposure to disease management and public health practices.
This comprehensive experience has given me a deeper perspective on hospital systems, multidisciplinary patient care, and the role of research in improving clinical outcomes.

This report summarizes the AFP surveillance and immunization activities in Gujranwala, a densely populated and industrially significant district in northeastern Punjab, from July 2022 to July 2023. During this period, no wild poliovirus cases were reported. More than 160 active surveillance sites were strengthened, with trained health workers, vaccinators, and community informants supporting timely detection and reporting of cases. National Immunization Days reached nearly 2 million children, achieving over 100% coverage, while special outreach efforts focused on hard-to-reach populations, including nomads, Afghan refugees, brick kiln workers, and Pashtoon communities. Close coordination, use of digital reporting tools, and engagement with local communities contributed to maintaining Gujranwala’s polio-free status and improving routine immunization systems.
